About Singapore Layoff Tracker

The Singapore Layoff Tracker is a community-driven resource that documents retrenchment announcements affecting Singapore-based employees. In an environment where layoff news can be scattered across news outlets, LinkedIn posts, and private conversations, this tracker brings everything into one transparent, searchable place.

Why this tracker exists

Retrenchment news in Singapore tends to surface piecemeal — a headline one week, a LinkedIn post the next — and global figures often drown out the local impact. The tracker exists to give Singapore-specific retrenchment data a single, transparent home so that the scale of workforce reductions here is neither overstated nor overlooked.

Every entry on this tracker represents real people in Singapore who have been affected by workforce reductions. We record only Singapore-specific headcount figures — not global numbers — so the data reflects the local impact as accurately as possible. Where an exact count is unavailable, entries are clearly marked as estimates.

Who it's for

  • Job seekers — understand which industries and companies are contracting before you apply or accept an offer.
  • HR and recruitment professionals — monitor market trends and workforce movements.
  • Journalists and researchers — find citable data on Singapore's employment landscape.
  • Anyone affected or at risk — see the landscape plainly, and find guidance in our insights section.

How data is collected

Entries are compiled from news reports, government statements, company announcements, and insider submissions. Insider submissions are not independently verified. Submitters must provide a working email address, and entries are screened for plausibility; implausible or unreachable submissions are rejected. Insider entries are labelled 'Insider – unverified' and are upgraded when a published source confirms them. If you believe an entry is wrong, email adrian@layoffsg.com to request a correction or removal; we aim to respond within 3 working days. See our methodology for how sources are handled, and our editorial policy for how corrections work. If you know of a retrenchment that isn't listed, you can submit a report directly from the home page.
