Editorial Policy & Corrections

Last updated: 20 September 2026

Our commitment

The Singapore Layoff Tracker exists to give the public an accurate picture of retrenchments in Singapore. Insider submissions are not independently verified. Submitters must provide a working email address, and entries are screened for plausibility; implausible or unreachable submissions are rejected. Insider entries are labelled 'Insider – unverified' and are upgraded when a published source confirms them (see our methodology). We publish only what we can stand behind, and correct errors promptly and transparently.

How to report an error

Spotted something wrong — an incorrect figure, date, company name or broken source link? Tell us via the contact form (choose "Correction") or email adrian@layoffsg.com. Companies and affected employees are welcome to write in directly.

Response time

We aim to acknowledge and assess every correction request within 3 working days. Verified errors are corrected as soon as possible after confirmation.

How corrections are made and logged

When a correction is confirmed, the entry is updated and a brief public note is added to that entry explaining what changed and when. Correction notes remain attached to the entry permanently as part of its history.

Takedown requests

Requests to remove an entry are reviewed case by case. We honour legitimate requests — for example where information is demonstrated to be wrong, where privacy or legal grounds apply, or where a company demonstrates an announced retrenchment did not proceed. Verified, accurate entries of public interest are not removed merely because they are unwelcome.
